Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Will Texas bring him back????
My friend lives in Oklahoma and has transfered a 10yr defered probation from Texas, he has about 4yrs left. He found himself in some trouble here in Oklahoma, a felony. I'm tring to prepare myself and get an idea... My question is once he completes his sentence here, hopefully 1yr in and 3 out, will Texas come and get him??? What am I to expect???

Re: Will Texas bring him back????
Most likely Texas will bring him back. His Texas probation officer is going to find out about this, so he should deal with it. He should consult with his current attorney in the Oklahoma case, and pay his attorney to attempt to work out a deal in the Texas case.
In most cases, however, the originating DA will not work out a deal, until after he has been extradited. In which case, he will need a Texas attorney.
