work product or case file
If you fire an attorny on a pending matter can the attorny withold his work product or case file underany situation including moneys owed?

The file belongs to the client, regardless of what it owed.
The attorney is entitled to make a copy of the file, and entitled to a reasonable amount of time to do so.
Sometimes the contents of the client file are disputed.
