Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Can I work for Texas?
In October 9, 1998, I was sentenced to 10 years of Deferred Probation by the Harris County 180th District Court. Felony Charge(Possesion of Marijuana). I would like to know if I can work for the Texas Departement of Human Services. I am pursuing a career in case management. Can my felony record be removed by a court? On my probation I haven't had any violations to my conditions.

If you received a deferred adjudication or imposition of sentence your case will be dismissed after the successful completion of the probation term.
It is usually not possible to have charges dismissed prior to that.
Re: Can I work for Texas?
Your question was can a felony record be removed by a court, if you are asking can a felony case be esponged, the answer is no if it is an conviction, If you complete the probation then you will not have an conviction on your record. However, I do not know the requirements to work for the State of Texas.
