Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Is it worth presenting affidavit to grand jury fto reduce drug charge?
Hi,
Is it possible to reduce or eliminate drug possession charge by presenting affidavit to grand jury? I have been suggested to do this for my son's drug possession charge for a fee of $2,500.00 which seems high.
Any response is appreciated.

If an attorney is being retained for the purpose of trying to get a drug charge no-billed by the grand jury, then it could be a reasonable fee.
If you are the one being charged the fee, ask for a more detailed description of the charges.

Yes, it is possible to get charges no billed or reduced by submitting an affidavit to the grand jury.
