Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I'm writing a murder story ... need a legal question answered ...
If a person has someone kill a third party, does the first party get same sentance from court as the actual murderer?

Under the law of parties (no pun intended) each party to an offense has the same level of culpability. So the person who hires the hit man is just as guilty of murder as the person who pulls the trigger.
