Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Wrongfully cited for theft under $50 in Texas

My daughter and I were shopping at an outlet. She wanted to try on shorts, but needed some fem protection. She told me (for the first time) about her situation. She needed to adjust herself, due to shifting of temp tissue, and I told her to go ahead while I covered her with a shirt for some privacy. As she was probably looking odd, she caught the attn of a store mgr. I told her to check her purse to see if she had a liner and the mgr saw clothes that were on her arm drape over the purse. We quickly left to catch my husband who just purchased a compressor from the front of the store, to run to the car and bring back a pad while we continued to shop on the outside 15 racks. We walked outside the store doors (there was some urgency to find my husband who the clerk said just left the store a second ago) and were approached by this manager. She grabbed my daughter's purse, which was an underarm clutch, still open and knocked the clothes on the handle into the purse. She accused her of stealing and me of helping! She detained us for 1 1/2 hrs., didn't let us call or use the bathroom. She called us middle eastern terrorists! We were intending to pay when we finished shopping the outside racks! We were cited by police on her view. Help!

First hire a lawyer immediately, so that the store surveillence tapes are not erased, as they will support your daughter actions.

Secondly, some terrorists are born and bred in the United States.
