Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Five years ago my mom was murdered. The guy received probation. To my knowledge he was on probation at the time of the murder. The DA seems to have nov interest in the case. Is there something I can do to have this case looked into? Do I have the right to sue the dept for not handling the case accurately?

Don't sue the DA. Call your local newspaper and see if you can get them interested. The DA will JUMP into action if he sees an article in the newspaper.
As a surviving relative, you probably have standing to sue the bastard who murdered your mother.
