checking credit to get a job

Is it legal for a company to check your credit before they consider

you for a job. If you qualify in all other aspects for a job and the

only reaqson you are ot hired is because your credit is bad. This

job is not in a financial company.

Yes, they can. The idea behind it is that bad credit reflects poor judgment.
