Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Texas
Can a public school district force students to wear uniforms
The school district we live in is talking about enforcing all students to wear either uniforms or a particular style of clothing. No jeans, t-shirts, etc. Can they refuse to provide education if the student does not wear these items?

Re: Can a public school district force students to wear uniforms
Generally speaking, a school board can pass a dress code which restricts the wearing of certain kinds of clothing, or mandates uniforms. Issues arise, however, when it impinges on religious freedom or freedom of speech issues, among others. A dress code requirement banning t-shirts and jeans would likely be permissible, however.
