I recommend you read Your Rights In The Workplace by Nolo Press which can be
found here:
http://www.affordablelegalsolutions.com/Employment_law.htm (cut and paste
in your browser)
It contains valuable information on what your rights are and what you need to prove in a discrimination claim and
also applicable time frames for filing your claim. It's the most user
friendly book I've found targeted for the general public and can be of great
assistance if you decide to pursue this matter.
Re: Retailiation threat for filing complaint
Retaliatory firing threats are generally frowned upon. That is NY and Federal law. I don't practice in Texas. Your short spelling abbreviations also make this difficult to understand. However, if you already filed a discrimination complaint with a state or federal agency then let them know about this additional threat.
If in fact the investigation fails to support your claim that doesn't mean there is no discrimination, just that the agency didn't find it. A threat of firing for a complaint of discrimination is essentially just additional discrimination.
