Legal Question in Discrimination Law in Texas

unacceptable reverse racial slur

I have worked for my current employer for about 2 months. In my department, I work with 4 hispanic people and I am the only white person. I have repeatedly been referred to as ''white boy'' or ''guero'' in a very negative way. An example may be a job no one wants to do. They would say, ''Looks like a job for a white boy.'' Usually, white boy is preceded by a curse word. I have documented when and who refers to me (or other white people) in this manner. I have spoken to two supervisors about this, but it still occurred, but on a lesser scale. Bringing it to their attention has made work uncomfortable. Is it appropriate to refer to me in this way and if not, could this matter be pursued?

Contact your state's equal employment commission, or, if your company is in interstate commerce, the Equal Employment Opportynity Commission. You are living in a hostile work environment, which means you are constructively being terminated and you can bring an action against your employer, although you will probably need to get a right to sue letter from the state commission or the EEOC.
