Legal Question in DUI Law in Texas

drivers licence suspended

My husband pleaded guilty to dwi charges when the da's office offered him only 3 days in jail, and court costs, 5 days later I was checking into rates for auto insurance with another company and was informed his drivers license was suspended, and the Judge never said anything about his license at the hearing, and have not recieved any written information from the dps office with the state. What is happening?

Re: drivers licence suspended

Clearly, he made a bad choice here, and should have consulted with an attorney. It is not the judge's job, nor the ADAs job to inform him of all of the possible consequences of a DWI conviction. It may not be too late to undo some damage. Talk to a lawyer, with a copy of the file.
