DUI / Arrest Warrant
My cousin was just informed there is a warrant out for his arrest for a DUI. Warrant was issued July 2006 but he was never notified by mail, visit or telephone of the warrant. What are his best options for handling the situation? Does he have to be notified when a warrant issued? What is the typical bail amount for a situation like this in McLennan County, Texas?

Re: DUI / Arrest Warrant
Your cousin needs to hire a criminal defense attorney who practices in the county from which the warrant issued. He should also hire a bail bondsman llicensed in McLennan County (some lawyers will serve as bondsman).
Frankly I have never heard of a DWI were the defendant was not arrested on the spot.
Re: DUI / Arrest Warrant
You cousin needs to contact an attorney who does DWI representation and who is familiar with McLennan County. If this is a true DUI or DWI, your cousins driving privileges are attached and he should not wait until court to talk with an attorney.
