My boyfriend was just sentenced to a 4 year sentence for his 4th dwi in texas, do you know how long he will actually have to serve before he is released?

Release decisions are within the discretion of the Texas Board of Pardons and Parole. A prisoner may be awarded good time, or parole, based on many factors including behavior while incarcerated and receptiveness to rehabilitation. Consequently, it is difficult to anticipate how long your boyfriend must serve on this 4 year sentence.
