Legal Question in DUI Law in Texas

DWI Conviction Appeal

Is there any possible way to appeal a DWI conviction due to misrepresentation from my lawyer? If so what is the time frame you have to do this in? And if not are there any other options for guilty DWI conviction?

Re: DWI Conviction Appeal

Hello there,

Your have thirty days to file a notice of appeal. However, you appeal is going to hinge on whether or not you had a trial or if you accepted a plea bargain.

If you accepted a plea bargain there is the possibility that you waived your appellate rights. You need to go to the Clerks office and ask to review your file so you can review all papers you signed. Then obtain copies of those papers and take them to an appellate attorney so s/he can advise you or your rights.
