Something is going on here besides just a DWI and meds in the vehicle for him to be in solitary confinement, etc. He should be getting a court date and if he cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed for him. If he can afford one, he better hire one soon. Jail is not automatic by any means for a probation violation. Parole, the word you used, is for people released from prison on parole. IT is not the same as probation. If you really mean parole, then he must have been in prison and released on parole. I can't tell from your question. Results could be nothing, extending his probation, spending some time in jail, etc., if it's a probation. If it's parole, that is a speacialty with which I am not familiar enough to give you an answer off the top of my head.
