indictment
My daughter has been in jail since the day after Thanksgiving of this year. I am told she is there for misdemeanor charges, but her court app. att. is a felony attor. She has been in jail approx. 70 days and has not yet been indicted for anything. Is this legal. No one has contacted her at any time.

Re: indictment
I don't know about your county -- but prisoners are frequently misplaced at Lew Sterret in Dallas County. Contact her attorney, and ask if he/she can update you on the case. Since she is an adult, and attorney's have a confidential relationship with the client, he/she may not be able to talk to you about it. If your daughter is dissatisfied with her attorney, you can consider hiring a lawyer for her.
