Minor DUI - Deferred Adjudication - on my record for insurance purposes?

Six years ago in Texas I was cited for ''Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol by a Minor,'' and received deferred adjudication and completed the probationary period successfully. For the purposes of car insurance, is the incident on my record or not?

Impossible to know. Your 'record' would show that you were arrested, and that the charge was dismissed. Since this is a minor charge, they often fall through the cracks (especially old charges) your insurance may not be aware of it. Your best bet is to advise of the arrest and dismissal. You should also contact an attorney in the same county where you were arrested and see if he can get it expunged. Sometimes it can be expunged even though it doesn't qualify on its face. TCL
