Legal Question in DUI Law in Texas

Minor in possession of alcohol

I was charged with a MIP of alcohol at the age of 20. I went to court and got deferred adjudication, paid a fine, took an alcohol class. Now i graduated from college and Im looking for a job. When employers ask the question ''have you ever been convicted of a misdemeanor/felony''....what do I select and does this charge show up on my records?

Your answer is no. You were not convicted, the charge was dismissed after you completed the deferred.

It DOES show up on your record. It reads that you were charged, received deferred and it was dismissed.

Get an attorney to seal your record. It will still be seen by 23 various agencies, but blocked from most employers and the general public.
