I've represented first timers in Nueces County before and was able to gain admittance into their pretrial diversion program where you are essentially on probation for a year but then the case is dismissed and you are immediately eligible for an expunction of the arrest. However, the program fee is around $500 and you must abide by all the rules of the program, no drinking, no drugs, no new offenses, a couple classes and a little community service.
