Check your probation terms. Many judges put travel restrictions on people to prohibit even out of county travel. If you have travel restrictions, you need to get permission. Start by asking your probation officer. You need to provide very detailed information including the mode of travel, travel dates, where you will be staying, and the purpose of the visit. (If it is work related, get proof.) Give ample time for your field probation officer to contact the court's probation liasion officer and get back with you. If time is too short or your officer says no, hire a lawyer to talk with the judge directly.

Good luck.
