My son has a past record; dui and a theft. He has been in the Army for six years and is due out in March of 2012. He will not reenlist. He wants his past record exponged and needs to know what to do in order for that to happen. Please help me help my son with this process. Thanks.

He cannot expunge any record unless the cases were dismissed or he was found not guilty. He can possibly seal the theft case if he successfully served out a deferred. Contact a lawyer in the county in which the case was prosecuted. I assume by DUI you mean DWI - that will remain on his record indefinitely.
