Summons is for MIP, ticket was MIC
My 16yr old rcvd a ticket for MIC (he was under the bac) but the court document is for MIP. When you look at the ticket, possesion and consumption are on the same line, but it is clear that the officer circled consumption. Any tips on what we should do? He is now 17 - can we make a point with this since the summons is wrong?

More than likely, you would expend a great deal of money legally contesting the charge, and the prosecutor could then refile the summons. Which puts you back where you started. It would be smarter to negotiate a plea that would lead to dismissal of the charge.
