Texas Interlock
I was granted deferred adjudication on DWI w/child because of legal loophole.
Disposition says that I have to have interlock and take repeat offender classes.
However, this is my first DWI, and according to the laws from what I can read, I shouldn't have to have the interlock installed because it for subsequent offensives. Also, I'm not convicted.
My PO says it looks like the court coordinator just copied everything for a 3rd time DWI and put it on there.
Do you think that the judge will change it or am I required to have the interlock on the vehicle? The DA said it wouldn't be part of the deal and then this happened.
Thanks.
