Legal Question in Education Law in Texas

home school work

I am an epileptic an disabled,I need someone with me at all times.Question is,my daughter is in high school, but she is needed at home to stay and watch me.Is it possible that she can stay inrolled in school, but be a stay at home student,We can pick her school work up everyday,so she don't fall behind,She is already a straight A student. The school said they will file charges on us if she misses any school. Is there anything that we can do besides home schooling.Home schooling won't give her a diploma,so we don't want to do that.Any suggestions?Thank you.

Re: home school work

It is not appropriate, and is illegal, that your daughter remain at home with you rather than attend school unless she is part of an approved home school program. You need to make other arrangements. The fact that she is doing so well is a tribute to her, but she needs --and deserves-- the opportunity to attend school as a regular student. The law also requires it, absent certified home schooling which, contrary to your statement, can in fact result in a high school diploma.
