not informed of academic deficiency upon admittance
i was accepted to a university in the spring before i sent in my deposit i visited and met with an admissions advisor. the admissions advisor told me that ''the majority of [my] credits would transfer over.'' in order to be admitted to the university you have to have 3 years of an acceptable foreign language. since i was admitted, i thought it was implied that my foreign language credits were accepted. since the advisor told me that the majority of my credits would transfer and did not mention any academic deficiencies i sent in my deposit. i arrove at the university in the fall. during my scheduled registration time i was informed that i had an acadamic deficiency and was required to take at least 3 semesters of a foreign language in order to graduate. since they did not tell me of my academic defiency, do i have any legal support? especially since if i had known of this deficiency i would have went to a different university that offered the same scholarship amound?
