my grandmother was in a nursing home for rehab from oct 9 2009 till dec16 2009. in nov they quit the rehab and moved her to skilled nursing side. she had medicare and medicaid. they didnt sumit the bill to medicaid and now have billed me and her for it as of dec 2010.they turned it over to a collection agency that is calling me at all hours and saying they are going to sue me for it.what can i do? this was in arkansas and i live in texas and so does my grandmother as of dec 16 2009.the worker at the nursing home that was over this was fired and some other people to. and the nursing home told me that there are other people this has happen to in that facility or was in the facility.

We have a fee for such matters....but you could do it on your own. Write the creditor and collection letter. "We don't owe this claim. Cease and desist all calls to me..(name) and my grandmother (name)....."...then if they continue to call you have a case for damages.
