Taking advantage of the elderly
My father inlaw lost his wife last year and immediately a young woman befriended him and he is spending all his money on her, to the point where he doesn't have enough to live on. He is 86 and she is 30. We talked to her parents and they warned us that this is what she does. He denies this is happening but we have proof.

Re: Taking advantage of the elderly
He is old enough and, unless you can convince a court otherwise, competent to spend his money as he chooses. Everyone has their own priorities and saving his money for older age doesn't appear to be one of them.
