Legal Question in Entertainment Law in Texas
Entertaininer a No Show at an Event
I paid a deposit and have a signed contract for a Performer to Perform at a promotional NYE event. The Performer never showed up or has returned our deposit. Alot of people paid top dollars to see this performance. It has damage the image of my team. It will be hard for us to put together another event because of this. Can I take legal actions against him?

From what you have written, it appears that you have a cause of action against the performer. You will have to file suit against the performer in civil court and prove the amount of damages. If my law firm can assist you with this legal issue or any other legal matter, please contact my legal assistant Jennifer ([email protected]).

I agree with Mr. Brashear. You appear to have the same facts of a case I'm currently litigating. Get an attorney because you don't want to lose out on a likely win like this. The only issue I foresee is collecting on your judgment.
