Season ticket price going up after 2 payments were made
In August 2002, I received an invoice from a local sport team for my 2003 season ticket. The total amount was $995. 25% of that was due and I paid $248.75 followed by another payment of $239.66 for the November invoice.
In winter, the team announced it was moving to a smaller stadium. According to officials quoted in the local press, the motive was to find a stadium whose capacity would better match the average attendance at home games. Figures released by the team said that their stadium rental fee would go from $15,000 a game to $1 per spectator (max capacity not to exceed 10,000 people). Also, the team would keep most revenues from concession and parking, unlike at its previous home. Overall, it seemed a good deal financially.
When I received the next invoice in February, I was therefore surprised to notice that the price of my package had gone up to $1,350 without any warning. Furthermore, I was also to pay $180 for VIP self-parking, whereas the $995 I signed up for included valet parking. I'm now faced with my package price going from $995 to $1,535 after making two payments. I believe that, since I have already made two payments as requested, I ought to receive said package for $995, despite the price increase.

Re: Season ticket price going up after 2 payments were made
You have probably, somewhere in the process of buying your season tickets, signed a contract that says you agree that the team can raise prices without notice. Call them and ask for a copy of that agreement and then consult an attorney. If they can't produce a copy of such an agreement, then there is a good chance they neglected to do their contractual homework and you may have a case for breach of contract on their part. I am in Alton, IL but am a Texas lawyer, which is why I answered. However, if you pursue this, you should get a local lawyer involved as otherwise the team will probably stonewall you.
