He has put her on his insurance and we put his name on the birth certificate. He has always paid for her to go to private school. Dad has new girlfriend now and does not want to support child anymore. Do I have any legal rights for child support. I live in the state of texas.

In what way did Dad "give up his parental rights"? Is there a court order somewhere that terminates his parental rights?

If not, then you have the right to file a paternity suit (and ask for child support).
