Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
In 2001 my ex and i divorced he got custody of the children because i did not want a big legal battle. 2 days after he called and told me to come get my daughter she was 1 at the time because she was a B**** and acted just like me... from 01 until 06 my daughter lived soley with me and our son lived with him and we swapped weekends and holidays in the summer of 2006 i went to take my sone home and his fathers apt was empty he just vanished. I found him in Oklahoma and allowed him and the kids to talk and things when ever he would answer his phone. He remarried and now has a child almost 3 so i thought he was being more responsible I allowed him to take the kids for 2 weeks for vacation now he will not bring my kids home they are 13 & 11 My 13 yr old son wants to stay but they wont let me even talk to my daughter I have had her for her entire life and he walked away for 5 years without any support no legal aid will help me because I dont have physical custody of the kids what can i do?

1. Come up with at least $7500 to pay to a good lawyer.
2. Go hire a good lawyer.
3. Your lawyer will file an application for a writ of habeas corpus, and a motion for modification, IN THE JURISDICTION WHERE THE ORIGINAL ORDER CAME FROM. It may eventually be transferred elsewhere.
