Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I have 2 kids, and they r under my ex custody. They r 11 and 10. I paid child support since oldest was 2. Recently my ex have a lot issue with her husband, and she have 3 addition kids, they lived in 3 bedroom gov housing. But got evicted, due to they both have no jobs. Anyway recently she sent my kids to her sister for summer vacation, I didn't really agree at first but it be good for them to do something positive, well now it's been over a year, they have start school in AZ I asked her why she have no get the kids back, she told me she and her husband got
Kick out from her friend now living completely diff town, she said she doesn't have the money to get my kids, also she won't give me contact info to reach my kids, I asked her how my kids can started school and all that in different state, she told me they have a lawyer, and she said she signe something, I was like no! But she claim that if she want the kids at anytime she can have the kids back. Well I asked how can she do that without me, she said the lawyer said she didn't need me to sign, becuz the lawyer said I wasn't there enough.
So now her sister giving her run around supposly, and either one of them have money to bring the kids back to Texas. I have feeling her sister is trying to keep them for good. Without me signing anything, I still continue paying child support, but I don't think the. Money is for the kids.
I really don't know what to do, I told them they can't do that, they said they can, cuz I not there enough
What can I do? What should I do?

You need to hire an attorney immediately. You need to get money together and get your kids back.
You should have done this immediately & not let them go to her sister.
Now her sister has had them so long that she can get legal custody of your kids.
You should not have trusted her.
It does not look like you are in Harris County so I don't know where you live.
Look on this website and on www.avvo.com for an attorney.
You might need an AZ attorney to assist you in getting your children back.
It looks like you have a real mess on your hands.
Get a certified copy of the current court order from Texas. The one that orders you to pay child support and get to an attorney immediately.
Good luck!
