At 17 can i leave home without being reported as missing or a runaway?

In Texas, yes, provided authorities/parents are aware of your location, then you are not missing. Runaway is a status offense that only applies to juveniles, and at 17 you are no long a juvenile. If there are prior court orders regarding residence restriction or juvenile probation or truancy, you may be restricted where you live.
