Is 17 a legal age to move out ?
In texas can you be 17 and move out of your parents house ?

Depends.
At 17, you are no longer truant from school, and are no longer considered a runaway.
At 17, you are still a minor, and unable to make binding legal decisions.
If your parents have a divorce or custody court order, then one of them (or both) have legal rights to determine your residence and other issues of control until you are 18 or graduate high school, whichever happens last.
You might qualify for emancipation.
