Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My 2 nieces were legally taken away from my little sister a few years ago. We undestand they were put up for adoption. My other sister and I wish we could just be able to talk to them: phone calls (supervised, if needed), letters, etc. We dearly miss them and simply want to communicate with them somehow. We both have families and carreers, and it would be quite impossible to consider fighting for any kind of visitation rights, as we cannot commit to timely visitation out of the city. We just want them to know we care. Do you think there is anything we can do?

Please help,

Marissa Luna

Was this through an intervention with CPS? You can ask CPS to forward your contact information to the adoptive family, with a request to maintain contact. It is a decision for the adoptive parents to make. Otherwise, you can re-establish contact when the girls are 18.
