Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I have 2 sons, 14 and 16. My 16 year old refused to go with his dad on dad's weekend. My ex-husband said that I was in contempt of court. What are the laws in Texas concerning this? Can I be fined, arrested, go to trial, ....?

Read your order.

If it's the usual type of order: It requires you to SURRENDER the child. It doesn't require you to hog-tie the child or use force.

Did you do anything to interfere with Dad picking up the "child?" Probably not.

Your job is to open the door ... tell Dad where the "child" is ... and stand back.

No, you will not be held in contempt.
