Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I have a 3 week old baby. The father and I are not married. He keeps saying that he is going to take the baby away from me. Does he have a chance to do that? I have never told him that I would keep him from seeing the baby but he keeps saying we will fight for him. I have to go back to work in 3 weeks and am afraid that he will try to take him. Please help.

I hear this threat a lot.
You need to talk to an experienced family law attorney in your county in person. There are a lot more facts that need to be discussed in depth.
Did you put his name on the birth certificate? If no, then he needs to go to court and establish paternity.
If his name is not on the birth certificate, then he has no legal standing to even see the child.
He is trying to "bully" you. You don't have to put up with it. I strongly urge you to immediately make an appointment with an attorney and discuss your options.
If you are breast-feeding, then his visits will be based around your feeding schedule.
Usually visits with a baby will be brief and frequent. No overnights with such a small baby. In Texas, usually no overnight visits until the baby is over the age of 3. However, you need to talk to an attorney in your county to understand all of details.
