17 year old daughter

i have a daughter that lives with her father and hates the way he treats her. she wants to come live with me. we have joint custody she comes every 1st and 3rd weekend of the month. how do i go about getting custody of her?

When will she be 18? You can hire a lawyer to file a Petition to Modify, and you can probably get temporary orders that would permit her live with you. Depending upon her birthday, she may turn 18 before the case ends, and then the issue is moot.
