Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
if a 17 year old is filing for emancipation and her parents dont have an objection what so ever and shes going to live with her friend and her parents and she doesnt have to pay any finances will the court still say she needs a job?

Generally the child must be wholly self-sufficient to be declared to be an adult. Relying on friends is not enough. Judges generally do not like emancipation (removal of disabilities) and the law is strictly followed. I recommend that you have an attorney review the facts. Also, the judge will probably appoint an attorney to represent the child's interests and someone must pay for this attorney. Good luck!
