Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My 17 year old son is currently in a men's correctional facility for 8 months and there is a possibly that he has fathered a child but the 16 year old mother denies and refuses testing when asked by us but will spread rumors to friends that he is a possible father. What steps can I take or should my son follow?

You need to hire a a family law attorney with criminal law experience. There is an issue of stautory rape that the lawyer needs to explore. Also there is a child support issue. At some point, mom may insist that your son begin to pay child support, your son should insist upon a paternity test.
