Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

3 years ago the judge ordered my ex to repay all overpayments of child support within 30 days. He has never paid it back and gloats that I will have to spend more in attorney's fees to take him back to court than what he owes. Attorney General's Office and the County Child Support Office both say they will not enforce recoupment of overpayment...they only handle deliquent payment recovery. Surely there is a way for a person to get enforcement without having to hire an attorney...? Help!

If the AG's office and the County will not help you, you need to see an attorney. Perhaps the child support payments should be modified to include the arrearges. If your husband is working, his pay can be garnished.
