Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

2 years ago ..mother won primary joint custody..now child wants to be with father ALL the time.

child is now 12 years old..father currently has extended visitation.thursday thru monday. and every thursday.

what age can child go infront of judge and tell judge her wishes to be with father ALL of the time.???

will judge grant the child wishes ??? ....mother just wants money, doesn't spend any quality time with the child.

Judges will listen to the wishes of children over 12 in custody cases. However, a parent must file a motion to modify so the child can go before the judge.. While a judge will consider the child's wishes they will make their decision on what they believe to be the child's best interests.
