Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

Im 15 years old and i want to get emancipated. My father passed away when i was 8 so i was forced to live with my mother. I simply cannot handle the emotional abuse that she puts me through and there have been numerouse accounts where i feel suicidal. Many teens say "im mature,i can do it." but i really am mature and i want to proceed with this.

You can read the Texas Family Code which is available on-line. Just "google" Texas Family Code.

You do not qualify to have your "disabililities removed" which is what Texas calls being emancipated.

You must qualify or fulfill certain legal requirements in order for a judge to declare you an adult in the State of Texas.
