Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

I am 41 years old and I'd like to sue my father for child support never paid. My parents were divorced in the very early to mid 70's and I believe that he was only required to pay $150.00 per month on 2 children. I do not believe that he's ever paid a cent. I know that there is no statute of limitations on child support and I want to know what needs to happen for me to bring this suit. I live in Texas and he still and always has lived Virginia. Virginia is where we lived when my parents divorced. I know that he is retired now. Where do I go from here.

IF the arrearage was reduced to a judgment, and the judgment was renewed, it might be possible to execute on the judgment. If not, I am not aware of any situation where you could bring this lawsuit. The cause of action belongs to the mother, not the children; and the statute of limitations would have long-since expired.
