Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
18 years old
I just turned 18 today, Im currently a freshman in college. I graduated from high school in 3 years, instead of 4. Im planning on moving out Monday, however I havent given my mom the news. Can she keep me home? And if not can she prevent me from taking the clothes and stuff that I''ve worked and paid for? She does allow me to use her tax numbers to receive financial aid and I borrow her car to go to school and work. Does that mean my stuff belongs to her?

Congratulations! Today you are an adult and you can do anything you want.
If you have proof that you paid for "stuff" you can take it.
If there is a problem, one of you can call the police or sheriff.
I'm not sure what they would do.
If she won't let you remove your "stuff", you can sue her in small claims court.
