Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

my 76 yr old father lives with me and needs 24 hr care. He is of completely sound mind, but can't even sit up by himself, much less get to the bathroom, or take care of himself in any way. I need to put him in a home, but he refuses. Can I do it anyway even though he refuses? Where can I get help?

If he has the finances for an assisted living center, does he have the finances for home health care?

There is wide disparity in the nature of senior living centers, from despicable to tremendous. Can you research what is available in his budget, and show those centers to him? He may fear the centers he was familiar with in years past, that would not apply to him.

If you are able to force him, through legal proceedings, it is essentially abandoning him to the state, and the results could be bad.
