16 yr old girl wants to change last name
my 16 yr old step daughter wants to chang her last name to mine. is that possible without adoption? Her dad is a looser and she no longer wants his last name.

She can call herself any name she wants, but she cannot officially change her name untill: 1) she is adopted; 2) she is an adult(18); or files for a Petition to remove her disabilities.
