Legal Question in Family Law in Texas

My 76 yr old mother is being verbaly abused by her husband on a daily basis....I would like to know if there is anything that I can do about it. One thing that she has done is she has tape recorded him during some of his abuse sessions...I have not tried to do anything about it yet because I have just arrived her from california on the 12th of this month and I wasnt really aware of the severity of the situation. What can I do about? and is there anything I can do about it? I would appreciate any suggestion that you might have and I appreciate your time.....Thank you....Karen Rebmann

Why doesn't she just leave him? That would be the simplest solution.
