Legal Question in Family Law in Texas
I'm 19yrs old going to college, out of the house living on my own, and my mother refuse to release my settlement funds of $14,565.44 that I received due to my injuries from a car accident I was in when I was 7. The case was settled when i was 18 but I didn't have bank account or a state I.D. to create one and because of this my mother was written as a Trustee to my funds till i acquired an account. What legal action can I to retrieve my property?

You will need to talk to an attorney in your county.
If the money is set up in a trust then the trust controls. There should be paperwork regarding this trust. Just because you are the beneficiary of a trust does not mean that you can access the money. Most trusts have a purpose and how the money is to be distributed.
Again, I recommend that you talk to an attorney in your county that is familiar with trusts. You might want to talk to the attorney that handled your car accident claim and see if they can provide you with the paperwork.
